Shift: M-F Day Shift 
Pay Rate: $21-25 Hourly DOE 
Location: Boise, ID 
 
The principal duties and responsibilities will be: 
  • Fabrication of products and assemblies without assistance (when appropriate) after initial direction given by the shop Coordinator. 
  • Read and interpret design drawings and instructions. 
  • Track and record time to be submitted on proper documents at the end of each week. 
  • Be able to wear PPE as needed. 
  • Be able to perform work in a team environment in a climate-controlled shop and at limited times some field work or cleanroom environment work is possible. 
  • Maintain a safe work environment in your area and throughout the shop. 
Requirements: 
  • Must have experience with carpentry or similar field, finished carpenter, is a plus, with attention to detail.  
  • The job requires assembly of various types of plastic, in a shop with a great working environment. Instruction will be provided for specific techniques.  
  • Ability to work safely with machining equipment including mills and power tools.  
  • Safely use table saws, routers, jointer, and various hand tools. 
  • General Cabinet making skills are applied in assembling materials. 
  • Must be aware of, adhere to, and follow all safety requirements within the shop as well as when outside the shop. 
  • Communication skills – must be able to understand written and verbal instructions including procedure breakdowns, phone communication, and emails. 
Preferred: 
  • Experience with various types of plastic is a plus. 
  • Experience with fittings including PVC, SS, and basic plumbing is helpful.  
Physical Effort/Activities: 
May need to walk up to 2+ miles per day, able to be on feet several hours at a time, ability to bend, twist, push/pull, crouch, kneel, work at heights on a ladder, and lift up to 55 pounds as needed. The physical demands described are representative of those that need to be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job as required.
