Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $27 - $30 DOE
Location: San Jose, CA
Position Type: Full-Time

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• You may perform daily maintenance tasks in a Laboratory and/or manufacturing environment.
• You will perform Preventive Maintenance or troubleshooting on manufacturing equipment. 
• You could possibly be working near or on equipment with hazardous chemicals.
• Your will to adhere to facility standard operating procedures with a focus on safety, quality, and effective team communication.
• You may wear the required cleanroom, respirator, or other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• You will be required to use basic hand, power, and special tools and equipment.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to work independently or within a team structure.
• Ability to understand and follow detailed instructions and procedures.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. routinely.
• Ability to push 100-200 lb. work carts.
• Ability to support a 12-hour day or night compressed work schedule.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office or other business-type software.

Preferred:

• 0-2 years in a manufacturing plant support, laboratory support, or mechanical facilities support.
• Experience with Pressure vessels, Furnaces, and various vacuum equipment preferred.
• Experience with PLC systems and automation equipment preferred.

Physical Effort/Activities:
May be required to walk up to 5+miles per day, able to be on feet for 8-10 hrs at a time, ability to bend, twist, push/pull, crouch, kneel in confined spaces, work at heights, on a ladder, and lift up to 50 pounds. The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
