WGNSTAR is currently recruiting an HR Specialist to support onboarding, orientation and other related HR activities for our US-wide organization in support of our Core Values.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, This position is an office based position, with the eligibility to be hybrid at the discretion of the manager
Location: Chandler, AZ

The principal duties and responsibilities will be:

  • Works collaboratively with the HR Team and management to manage all activities supporting onboarding, orientation, badging interface, I-9s, benefit administration, HRIS maintenance, and pre-employment screenings to ensure a positive employee and client experience.
  • Support administrative and maintenance transactions in WGNSTAR and/or client systems, ensuring adherence to quality standards and process controls in place. 
  • Support scheduled reporting requirements and metrics as assigned. Preparation of reports and audit documentation as needed. 
  • Guides and collaborates with management and employees in support of WGNSTAR culture and Core Values..
  • Ensures compliance with data privacy, confidentiality, and intellectual property requirements and best practices.  
  • Supports day-to-day functions of the HR department in a multi-state environment as required.

To be successful in the role, the ideal candidate will have:

  • 1-2 years prior experience in HR or administrative roles. Knowledge of HR laws and regulations is a plus. 
  • Proficiency in HR Software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, MS Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of Paylocity or Fieldglass is a plus. 
  • High level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills 
  • Ability to effectively communicate and strong interpersonal skills. 
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities. 
  • Able to work in an environment with frequent interruptions and changing tasks and priorities. 
  • Able to work collaboratively and effectively with other staff, employees, and managers. 
  • Strong sense of urgency in both action and communication. 
  • Ability to handle highly sensitive data with confidentiality and integrity; ability to exercise appropriate judgement. 

Physical Effort/Activities: On a continuous basis will work in an office environment, sit at desk for a long period of time, intermittently answer telephone and use a computer to communicate. On an occasional basis in the performance of duties, may be required to walk, stand, drive, and lift up to 25 pounds. The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
