Schedule:  Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM 
Pay Rate: $30-$35/hr DOE
Location:  Manassas, VA
Travel: Required for training only
Position Type: Full Time

The principal duties and responsibilities will be:
  • Promote employee safety awareness activity by ensuring FSEs have appropriate procedures and are following regulations.
  • Responsible for correcting unsafe behavior/rule violations according to the procedures.  
  • Ensure daily audits are conducted and results sent to EHS Professional at end of shift.
  • Help local EHS Professional with safety policy communication and implementation.
  • Perform safety management, audit, and inspection for customer sites to ensure the compliance with government, customers, and all EHS policy, processes, and procedures
  • Attend regular customer meetings and delivering information between customers
  • Participate in the incident investigation to find the root cause and corrective actions
  • Discuss findings and propose corrective measures with the supervisors and management and check whether these are indeed followed.
  • Execute strategy to assure effective EHS programs to improve employee working safety and reduce workplace risks
  • Communicate with employees, customers, and vendors for EHS related issues
  • Prepare and report the data on EHS performance
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Able to provide EHS training and presentation
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Willingness to travel for training
  • Must wear and ensure appropriate PPE in a pressure-controlled environment, according to site rules/requirements
  • 3+ years of experience working in a safety role within Manufacturing/Lab/Plant/Oil/Gas/Construction industries 
  • OSHA Safety Certifications / Safety Classes / COHE/LOTO
  • Experience creating safety reports and presenting
  • Experience working with or handling hazardous materials

Physical Effort/Activities:
May be required to walk up to 5+miles per day, able to be on feet for 8-10 hrs at a time, ability to bend, twist, push/pull, crouch, kneel in confined spaces, work at heights, on a ladder, and lift up to 50 pounds. The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
