Bilingual Mandarin Safety Technician

Pay Rate: $72,000 to $78,000 DOE
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Position Type: Full Time

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of construction sites to identify potential hazards.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
- Document and report safety violations and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees in both Mandarin and English.
- Conduct safety orientation sessions for new hires.
- Communicate safety policies and procedures clearly to all workers.
- Assist in the investigation of accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes.
- Prepare detailed reports of findings and recommend preventative measures.
- Maintain and update safety records and documentation.
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans.
- Conduct regular emergency drills and training sessions.
- Monitor compliance with personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
- Act as a liaison between English-speaking management and Mandarin-speaking employees.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a safety role within the construction industry.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in conducting safety training and inspections.
- Must have a valid OSHA 30 certification.
- Associate degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proficiency in both Mandarin Chinese and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
- Previous experience in construction, plumbing, or a related field is preferred.
- CPR certification
- OSHA 510 certification
Physical Effort/Activities:
May be required to walk up to 5+miles per day, able to be on feet for 8-10 hrs at a time, ability to bend, twist, push/pull, crouch, kneel in confined spaces, work at heights, on a ladder, and lift up to 50 pounds.
