Schedule: 8am to 5pm, Monday-Friday
Pay Rate: $72,000 to $78,000 DOE
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Position Type: Full Time

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of construction sites to identify potential hazards.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
  • Document and report safety violations and recommend corrective actions.
  • Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees in both Mandarin and English.
  • Conduct safety orientation sessions for new hires.
  • Communicate safety policies and procedures clearly to all workers.
  • Assist in the investigation of accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes.
  • Prepare detailed reports of findings and recommend preventative measures.
  • Maintain and update safety records and documentation.
  • Develop and maintain emergency response plans.
  • Conduct regular emergency drills and training sessions.
  • Monitor compliance with personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
  • Act as a liaison between English-speaking management and Mandarin-speaking employees.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a safety role within the construction industry.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in conducting safety training and inspections.
  • Must have a valid OSHA 30 certification.
  • Associate degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in both Mandarin Chinese and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
     
Preferences:
  • Previous experience in construction, plumbing, or a related field is preferred.
  • CPR certification 
  • OSHA 510 certification 

Physical Effort/Activities:
May be required to walk up to 5+miles per day, able to be on feet for 8-10 hrs at a time, ability to bend, twist, push/pull, crouch, kneel in confined spaces, work at heights, on a ladder, and lift up to 50 pounds. The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
