WGNSTAR is hiring an installation coordinator who will be part of the site project management team and is responsible for installing company equipment at customers' facilities. 

These are long-term, full-time positions with full benefits based out of De Soto, KS. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, and paid holidays.

Schedule:
Day shift M- F 7:45am-5pm and Swing Shift M-F 12:00 PM - 9:00 PM (with 10% Differential)
Pay Rate: $25-$28/hr. DOE
Location: De Soto, KS

 Principal Duties & Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned.

  • Follow all corporate safety protocols and report unsafe conditions.
  • Assist Adjustment Technicians with routine installations and/or maintenance on assigned products.
  • Perform log analysis of system errors during Qualification and test.
  • Assist on-the-job training to the internal technician in routine operation, installation, and troubleshooting of assigned products.
  • Effectively troubleshoot issues for both hardware and software.
  • Professionally interact with and understand technical information from the internal team.  Professionally interact with multi-national and multi-language teams.
  • Prepare and submit all necessary paperwork, and accurate status reports with supervision. 
  • Input data to QA / QC check sheet, report creation, and submission to Installation Site Manager.
  • Attend daily field start-up meetings.
  • Work with minimum supervision, as needed.
  • Recommend sound technical solutions/resolutions to engineering groups.

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree (AS) in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience in the industry or Military Certification is preferred
  • 1 -2 years of knowledge of electrical diagnostic instruments and shop/hand tools. 
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints/layouts, and diagnose/troubleshoot electromechanical devices. 
  • Ability to work in a team environment and be a team player with multi-cultural employees. Flexible, and willing to work a swing shift 
  • Ability to analyze, diagnose, troubleshoot, and solve practical problems. Deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. 
  • Ability to work with heights, (Ladder, Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWP) or Scissor lift, Etc.) 
  • Must have experience working with Digital Voltmeter 
  • Must have basic PC skills including MS Office, Excel, Windows, etc.  
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Work Environment:  

  • The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. 
  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee frequently works near live equipment moving parts requiring situation awareness at all times.  
  • The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Physical Effort/Activities:
May be required to walk up to 5+miles per day, able to be on feet for 8-10 hrs at a time, ability to bend, twist, push/pull, crouch, kneel in confined spaces, work at heights, on a ladder, and lift up to 50 pounds. The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
