Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 6am to 4:30pm
Pay Rate: $35.00 + /hr., DOE
Location: Boise, Idaho

The principal duties and responsibilities will be:
  • Work in a team environment with other technicians to service, maintain, troubleshoot, modify and repair all refrigerated equipment site-wide
  • Makes recommendations related to preventative maintenance and other non-routine issues
  • Partners with stakeholders to resolve equipment/process issues and maximize system stability
  • Communicates proactively with leaders and stakeholders on the daily priorities and issues
  • Monitor equipment, resolve issues and maximize system stability
  • Identify and reduce defects to improve quality. Maintain tools and equipment in working order. Identify and respond according to alarm conditions
  • Performs equipment and refrigerant disposal in accordance with procedures and environmental regulations
  • Maintains applicable discipline knowledge, such as refrigeration theory, system design, sizing and applications
  • Follows all safety and environmental procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations including PPE, CoHE (lockout /tagout) and chemical safety
  • Performs and facilitates audits and submits good catches
  • Proactively identifies opportunities to reduce potential hazards which may impact personnel health and/or the environment
     
Requirements:
  • Intermediate PC skills, including a familiarity with MS Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Two + years of experience in industrial HVAC
  • Critical thinking skills, with the ability to follow procedures and work with minimal supervision.
  • Commercial industrial applications of refrigeration required
  • Flexible with job responsibilities and assignments, demonstrating an ability to learn and self-improve continuously
  • Proven time management, organizational and prioritization skills
Preferred:
  • Relevant degree or appropriate certifications or licenses
Physical Effort/Activities:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear
  • The employee frequently is required to stand, walk; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or maneuver in areas of confined width and height space working in or around cramped mechanical, electrical, and chemical hazards workspaces.
  • The employee must have strong manual dexterity as he/she is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance you may be required to work at elevated heights (i.e., on ladders, stools, or other assistive devices)
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to ten pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to fifty pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than one hundred pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus with strong hand-to-eye coordination
  • Ability to work in constrictive attire, wearing appropriate personal protective safety equipment as required, and sit or stand for prolonged periods
  • Capacity to work rapidly for long periods when needed, including routinely bending, stooping, reaching, walking, and standing in one location
